Sunshine Blogger Award Book Tag

Thanks to Audrey Greathouse for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award! This fun chain-letter project is designed to honor the bloggers that bring the most sunshine into our lives, and consists of eleven fun questions that nominees must answer before they design their own questions and nominate up to eleven other bloggers that bring sunshine into their social media feed!

Rules:

Name and link to the blog of the person who nominated you.
Answer the eleven questions from the blogger who nominated you.
Nominate up to eleven wonderful bloggers and write (or borrow/steal) eleven questions for them to answer.

1. If you could wake up tomorrow with a world-class mastery of any talent or skill, what would you pick?

I can't decide between playing the piano, having actual artistic talent, or some athletic thing. I can play basic piano, but I love it and would love to just instantly know it all. I'm super passionate about art, but absolutely stink at it. It doesn't help that my friends are art masters. I used to be super good at soccer, but I don't play anymore. It would be nice to be super good at a sport so I'd have some extra motivation

2. What is the most delicious dish or food-combo you’ve ever invented?

Everyone else I know thinks it's disgusting, but here it is. My grandmother makes big breakfast every once and a while. This consists of eggs, bacon, biscuits, and two delicious gravies - sausage and chocolate. While everyone else uses one or the other, I mix the chocolate and (veggie) sausage gravy. This is a wonderful sweet/savory mix and is DELICIOUS!

3. What is one of the best dreams you’ve ever had at night?

I don't know about best, but I once had one that involved Wizards of Waverly Place...
4. What musical instrument best represents your personality?

My dad says oboe. I'm thinking piano, since that's the instrument that draws me in and I connect with.
5. If you could live in any fictional world, which world would you want to live in?

Probably the Throne of Glass world once Aelin is queen and everything is fixed!
6. What is one thing you do that you’ve never met anyone else who does it?

I put together sea turtle adoption packets for my dad's non-profit seaturtle.org!
7. Would you rather A) travel the world in a year-long vacation BUT not be able to talk with or communicate with anyone you meet OR B) Get invited to a different party every week, hosted by and attended by interesting people from all over the world BUT never be able to leave your country?

I can't decide. A sounds pretty good, but I'm a homebody. In B I'd get to meet cool people but I'm in no way a party person. As long as I could bring my book, I'll go with B.
8. What is something you always thought you’d know how to do by now, but still haven’t learned?

Do math in my head. I take a bunch of advanced math classes, but I still have to count on my fingers sometimes *cough*often*cough*.
9. If you could go on a transcontinental roadtrip with anyone, living or dead, who would you want to be your roadtrip buddy?

I can't decide! There's so many people I admire, but I'm also super awkward around people I don't actually know. That said, I think I'd want to take Sarah J. Maas, Jackie Emerson, and my puppy dog Rosie!
10. Who is one seriously underrated artist you wish everyone knew about?

I don't know if she's underrated, but Nathalia Suellen (who does the artwork for the Splintered series by A.G. Howard) is awesome!
11. What would the title of your autobiography or memoir be?

Calling My Teacher Mom, Skipping Events for a Good Book, and Other Tales

As far as questions go, I'm gonna have everyone I nominate answer the same questions I did! Feel free to make up your own as well!

This or That Book Tag

Thank you Jordan @ The Heart of a Book Blogger for tagging me! The This or That Book Tag was originally created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks. Now, let’s go!

The Rules:
Mention the creator of the tag (Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks).
Thank the blogger who tagged you!
Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love!

1. Reading on the couch or in the bed?

Usually I read in bed, but I've recently been reading on the couch to watch the Olympics!

2. Male main character or female main character?

Female main characters all the way! I love me some Aelin/Feyre/Clary/Rose/etc!

3. Sweet snacks or salty snacks?

Is it cheating if I say sweet and salty? This chocolate covered pretzels.

4. Trilogies or quartets?

I'm happy either way, but tend to read more trilogies. But if I love the series, I want it to go on forever!

5. First person POV or third person POV?

I prefer first person, but am happy reading both!

6. Reading at night or in the morning?

I am a solid night owl! I am not a morning person. At all.

7. Libraries or bookstores?

I love my local library (I've volunteered there in the past), but I now work in a bookstore and get most of my books there!

8. Books that make you laugh or books that make you cry?

I would much prefer to laugh! If I know a book's going to make me cry I almost always avoid it.

9. Black book covers or white book covers?

Black book covers tend to be more interesting, so black book covers!

10. Character driven or plot driven stories?

Plot driven! I think my problem with contemporary books lies in the fact that they are almost all character driven, which is just too easy for me to predict.

I tag the following blogs! If you’ve already completed this tag, send me your link and I’d love to read it! If anyone not tagged wants to do this, feel free to do it, too, and send me your link after!
