Sunday Street Team: Brooding YA Hero by Carrie DeRisio

Welcome to this month's Sunday Street Team! I am super excited to be helping to promote Brooding YA Hero! And as a special treat, today I have an interview with Broody himself!

Interview:

1. How do you get yourself ready to be a YA hero in the morning?

I begin by waking up from a vivid dream sequence/prologue. Then I brush my tousled golden mane, and study myself in the mirror, being sure to use all my best adjectives and adverbs to describe my beauty. I don't have to worry about brushing my teeth--they're always flawless!

2. What are your thoughts on the broody vs boy-next-door heroes?

I'm far superior to any nice guy next door. They're all honest, respectful, and kind.... and who wants that, right?

3. What are your recommendations for other YA heroes?

Be yourself. No one can tell your story like you can

4. What's your favorite genre to be in?

Whatever one lets me be on the cover of the book... and shirtless.

5. If given the opportunity, what YA heroine would you like to flirt with?

All of them. And all the heroes too, please.

Also, villians with redemption arcs? Call me.

6. Who would you wish to play you if Brooding YA Hero was adapted to a movie?

I'd like to be played by someone named Chris. I don't think the last name matters.

7. Use three words to describe Blondie DeMeani

Evil, mean, way-less-cool-than-me-and-most-certainly-not-the-actual-hero-of-my-book

Synopsis:

Ever wished you could receive a little guidance from your favorite book boyfriend?
Or maybe you're just really confused about what "opal-tinted, luminous cerulean orbs" actually are?

Well, popular Twitter personality @broodingYAhero is here to help as he tackles the final frontier in his media dominance: writing a book. Join Broody McHottiepants as he attempts to pen Brooding YA Hero: Becoming a Main Character (Almost) as Awesome as Me, a "self-help" guide (with activities--you always need activities) that lovingly pokes fun at the YA tropes that we roll our eyes at, but secretly love.

As his nefarious ex, Blondie DeMeani, attempts to thwart him at every turn, Broody overcomes to detail, among other topics, how to choose your genre, his secret formula for guaranteed love triangle success, and how to make sure you secure that sequel, all while keeping his hair perfectly coiffed.
