Top Ten Things I'd Have at My Bookish Party

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and The Artsy Reader Girl.

1. Books! - No book party would be complete without books. I'd have people bring a book they enjoyed and then we'd do a book exchange!

2. Cake - I'm thinking either red velvet flavored cake or cheesecake

3. Streamers/ribbons to make the space fun

4. Dogs - Preferably my dog Rosie and any other dogs that would be calm enough at a party while also reaping the benefits of dropped snacks

5. Book coloring pages - I've collected a number of YA coloring books, including ones for The Lunar Chronicles, The Mortal Instruments, and Throne of Glass. It would also be fun to have coloring pages of book covers.

6. Other snacks - I mentioned cake earlier, but I'd also like a mix of other snacks including pretzels, barbecue potato chips, and maybe brownie bites

7. Costume contest - It would be awesome to have people dress up as their favorite characters

8. Goodie bags - These would be filled with fun bookish things that attendees could take home such as bookmarks, stickers, and pins

9. People - The prompt mentions people (real or fictional) that you would invite, and I think it would be fun to have an event where readers and authors could mingle

10. Blankets - We could spread them out on the floor and have a picnic book party

  3. Oh, I love the idea of exchanging favorite books! What a fun idea. Somehow, I didn't realize there were color pages based on different books? Other than the big obvious ones like HP and such. That's so neat. This sounds like it'd be a fun party!
