Top Ten (or Twenty-Three) Reads of 2021

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and That Artsy Reader Girl. If you're wondering why this post is a few days late, it's because I have spent all week playing Assassin's Creed: Origins. I have a vague plan to play through all three of the most recent games in order, though Odyssey and Valhalla might have to wait until summer break. When not playing video games, these were some of the great books I read this year! To see everything I loved, check out the Best of 2021 page! These are roughly in order of when I read them, not how much I loved them.

1. A Shot at Normal by Marisa Reichardt

2. A Curse of Roses by Diana Pinguicha

3. A Dark and Hollow Star by Ashley Shuttleworth

4. The Project by Courtney Summers

5. A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

6. Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare

7. Sweet & Bitter Magic by Adrienne Tooley

8. When a Duke Loves a Governess by Olivia Drake

9. The Viscount Made Me Do It by Diana Quincy

10. The Hellion's Waltz by Olivia Waite

11. Malice by Heather Walter

12. If This Gets Out by Sophie Gonzales and Cale Dietrich

13. Devil in Disguise by Lisa Kleypas

14. The Passing Playbook by Isaac Fitzsimons

15. Witchshadow by Susan Dennard

16. All These Bodies by Kendare Blake

17. A Duke in Time by Janna MacGregor

18. Devil in the Device by Lora Beth Johnson

19. Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco

20. Daughter of Sparta by Claire M. Andrews

21. The Other Merlin by Robyn Schneider

22. Girls Before Earls by Anna Bennett

23. Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson

If you can't tell, it was hard to pick just ten books! I majorly slowed down on reading toward the end of the year, so it's nice to look back and see all the books I loved. Do any of my books show up on your lists? Did I miss something your adored? Let me know in the comments!
