1. Wilder Girls by Rory Power - this veers towards horror/thriller, but I loved it!
2. Once and Future by Amy Rose Capetta and Cori McCarthy - this does have the fantasy I love, but it also has a lot of outer space, which I don't read *as* much
3. The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg - I don't usually read much music-inspired books, but I loved Eulberg's other books!
4. Believarexic by J.J. Johnson - this book is a little different stylistically than what I usually read, but it's gorgeously written!
5. The Only Thing to Fear by Caroline Tung Richmond - this is a great alternate history book
6. Asylum by Madeleine Roux - this falls into the horror genre, which I usually avoid, but I couldn't resist the actual pictures from real asylums!
7. The Madmen's Daughter by Megan Shepherd - I don't read much historical fiction that doesn't also have a fantasy element, but I enjoyed this book
8. Rush by Eve Silver - Rush has a very scifi/aliens vibe, but it also has enough general paranormal elements that it pulled me in
9. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot - this is one of the few non-fiction books that I have read and enjoyed, but at times it practically reads like fiction!
10. The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White - one more scary book. Despite how often they're coming up in this list, I usually don't read many. Also, the writing in this is some of the best I've ever read!
